ICD-10 Physician Survey

IntrinsiQ Informs

Physicians Practice recently conducted an online poll about the transition to ICD-10.

Nearly half (47.3 percent) of the 110 responses said the transition was not an issue and claims were being rejected at the usual rate. More than 25 percent noted the transition “so-so” and revenue flow seemed to be comparable, 14.5% noted “miserable” with a significant number of delayed or denied claims and 12.7% thought it was too early to tell.

One of the biggest challenges was training staff and physicians on the new codes; but with most practices doing training early, the offices felt they were up to speed.
